The Kingsport Fire Departmen's Citizen's Fire Academy has been placed on hold due to budget constraints

The Citizen’s Fire Academy is intended to increase public awareness through education, demonstration, and participation by the class. We hope to create a safer home and work environment through fire prevention, extinguishment techniques, and training. We also want the citizens to know all the things we do besides Firefighting. Emergency Medical, Hazardous Materials, Specialized Rescue, etc. We hope to familiarize and inform the citizens of Kingsport of what a great department they have.
